Staging Places – open call for work by UK performance designers

The Society of British Theatre Designers presents work of UK based performance designers at the largest scenography event in the world, the Prague Quadrennial.

In a new initiative for this year, submissions are to be made digitally and every artist will have a piece of work shown in an online display as part of the Staging Places programme.

Of the submissions, twelve designs will be shown at the 14th Prague Quadrennial in June and a wider selection of work will be shown at the Theatre and Performance Galleries of London's V&A museum from July.

Set, costume, lighting, sound, video and experiential designers across all genres of performance are invited to submit work from up to three different productions realised between 2015-2019.

Applicants must be Professional or Graduate SBTD members (fees £78 and £48 respectively including public liability insurance cover). There is a submission fee of £70 and the deadline is 4 February.

Alongside these exhibitions Staging Places will host a series of regional events.
