Superstar shines again in Manchester

Jesus Christ Superstar, Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s rock opera, returns to the stage of the Palace Theatre, Manchester April 13-18.

Glenn Carter returns as Jesus, a role he has played in the West End, on Broadway and on film. His musical theatre credits include leading roles in Whistle Down the Wind, Les Misérables, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Godspell and Merrily We Roll Along.

Welsh Baritone Rhydian Roberts joins the company as Pontius Pilot. He first shot to fame in 2007 as the runner up on hit television show The X Factor.

X Factor finalist Rachel Adedeji will join the cast as Mary Magdalene direct from the UK and European tour of Thriller Live.

Bob Tomson and Bill Kenwright team up again to direct the show.
