Now in its eighth year, The Accidental Festival is a new writing festival organised by BA students on the Theatre Practice course at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. National Theatre Associate Director and previous Festival special guest Katie Mitchell says of it: “It’s an excellent idea—that 19-year-olds are being thrown in at the deep end!”
The 2013 event promises an eclectic mix of new works across a wide range of disciplines including experimental opera, improvisation and puppetry.
Over seventy acts will be performing new pieces across all the spaces of north London's Roundhouse, amongst their work are five world premières and three UK premières.
In addition there are talks and workshops and a selection of free events during the Festival which runs from 9 to 12 May.
