The Mousetrap

The Mousetrap, the world’s longest running stage production from ‘queen of crime’ Agatha Christie, comes to The Lowry from March 17-22 on a UK tour marking its diamond anniversary.

The Mousetrap holds numerous Guinness World Records including ‘the longest continuous run of any show in the world’.

The role of Sgt Trotter is taken by Jonathan Woolf, whose work includes Travelling Light at the National Theatre. Newlyweds Giles and Mollie Ralston will be played by Henry Luxemburg, widely-known for playing notorious murderer Toby Mills in Channel 4’s soap Hollyoaks, and Joanna Croll, whose stage credits include The Widowing of Mrs Holroyd.

Chris Gilling (ITV’s Law and Order, BBC1’s Silk) takes the role of the mysterious army retiree Major Metcalf. Michael Fenner reprises his role as Mr Paravicini from London’s West End.

A group of people gathered in a country house cut off by the snow discover, to their horror, that there is a murderer in their midst.
