Our Day Out—the Musical

A young group from the Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds Summer School will play alongside the professional cast in the autumn season's opening production, Our Day Out—the Musical. Written by Willy Russell (music by Willy Russell with Bob Eaton), this is a heart-warming tale of city teenagers escaping Liverpool on a school trip to North Wales.

Other musicals in the season are the British ‘Mod’ musical All or Nothing with the music of ‘60s Mod band The Small Faces and Immersion Theatre's family show The Jungle Book.

Classic drama comes in the form of Southwold Summer Theatre's The Prisoner of Zenda and thriller A Judgement in Stone, a new adaptation of Ruth Rendell's novel.

London Classic Theatre brings comedy with Noël Coward’s Private Lives as does Blackeyed Theatre with John Godber’s Teechers and Northern Broadsides with For Love or Money.

Work from emerging talent includes Fringe First winner Katie Bonna with All the Things I Lied About, Big Foot and From Ibiza to the Norfolk Broads.

The season's programme includes poetry and dance events; this year's panto is Dick Whittington.
