Wertenbaker said, “having had such a welcoming and supportive experience with my play Jefferson’s Garden, I’m delighted to become Watford Palace Theatre’s new Creative Associate.

"The theatre has a big, beautiful, classical stage and it’s exciting to present new work here. The whole organization focuses on involving the playwright at every stage of the process, which makes it a very pleasant and secure environment for writers.

"I’m looking forward to working closely with Brigid Larmour and the theatre over the coming years and I hope to help support the extraordinary work of the company and Brigid’s bold and distinct vision.”
