The tour of The Sound Of Music which restarts in May has been extended into the autumn.
Continuing in the role of Maria is Lucy O’Byrne who will be known to television talent show viewers as the runner up of BBC1’s The Voice, first classical singer to reach the show's final round.
Duncan Smith plays Max and Isla Carter plays Baroness Elsa; Kane Verrall, Zoe Ann Brown, Kate Scott, Tammy Davies, Jude Neill, Anouska Eaton, Jon de Ville, Pippa Winslow, Scott Ainslie, Piers Bate and Lewis Barnshaw have so far also been cast with further casting to be announced.
The Sound of Music has music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II and a book by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse suggested by The Trapp Family Singers by Maria Augusta Trapp. It is 50 years since the release of the record breaking film.
The producer is Bill Kenwright; it is directed by Martin Connor, choreographed by Bill Deamer, and has musical direction by David Steadman.
The Sound Of Music tour resumes on 18 May at Aylesbury Waterside Theatre then visits
