Everyman and Playhouse in Liverpool will be making changes to their playwriting schemes, giving more people access, training and skills in the art of playwriting.

The previous Young Writers’ Programme will be replaced by two new schemes, the Everyman & Playhouse New Playwrights’ Programme and a Young Everyman Playhouse (YEP) Writers Programme.

The Everyman and Playhouse New Playwrights’ Programme is a course for playwrights and theatre-makers in the Liverpool region who wish to develop their playwriting craft. The most significant change to the previous writing scheme offered by the theatre is that it is now open to all ages, having previously been capped at 25 years old.

The next intake of writers will begins this October at the Everyman Theatre with up to ten writers invited onto the programme following applications to join.
