Alternative Arts is the cross–genre arts producing and consulting organisation behind East London's programme of events marking Women’s History Month in March.
Theatre events include solo show Foreign Body by Imogen Butler-Cole, part of the Arab Women Artists Now Festival.
There is a programme of exhibitions with accompanying talks and history is covered by, amongst other events, a talk from BBC journalist David Mazower on the East End Yiddish Theatre.
Women’s History Month is co-ordinated by Alternative Arts and supported by Tower Hamlets Council, the participating artists and venues.
