The nominations have been announced for the 2012 Writers' Guild Awards, which include two theatre categories.
The nominations for Best Theatre Play are Grief by Mike Leigh at the Cottesloe in the National Theatre, The Kitchen Sink by Tom Wells at The Bush (and soon to be produced by Hull Truck in November) and The Westbridge by Rachel De-Lahay at the Royal Court.
The nominations for Best Play for Children and Young People are Angel by Kevin Dyer for Theatre Hullabaloo, Hare and Tortoise by Brendan Murray for Tutti Frutti and York Theatre Royal and Holloway Jones by Evan Placey, commissioned and produced by Synergy Theatre Project and winner of the 2012 Brian Way Award for Best Play for Young People.
The winners of these and of all of the TV, film, print, game and radio categories will be announced at the Tabernacle in Notting Hill on 14 November.
