Octagon Theatre Bolton has been awarded support from the Regional Theatre Young Director Scheme to run Introduction to Directing, an intensive course for budding directors.
The course will take place over a five-day period at the Octagon, with eight trainees from Bolton and surrounding areas.
Sessions will be focused on the basics of theatre directing and will be led by artistic director Elizabeth Newman, associate director Ben Occhipinti and associate artistic director and Professor of Theatre at University of Bolton David Thacker.
The course is targeted at young people aged 18 to 25 and Octagon Theatre Bolton will be approaching individuals and communities across Bolton to invite people to apply.
