Young Tina Turner to be cast in open auditions

Tina, musical biography of pop legend Tina Turner

The West End production of Tina is looking for young performers to take the role of the 11-year-old Tina Turner, Anna Mae.

Open auditions are being held on 13 January with producers looking for black and mixed-race girls under 4’ 10” and aged 9 to 12 with good acting and singing skills.

The audition venue is the National Youth Theatre rehearsal rooms, London, with registration at 10:30AM.

Tina starts previewing at London's Aldwych Theatre on 21 March. It is directed by Phyllida Lloyd. The show is written by Katori Hall with Frank Ketelaar and Kees Prins and is produced by Stage Entertainment, Joop van den Ende and Tali Pelman in association with Tina Turner.
