Lancaster Arts City needs you.
Every first Friday of the month since October, Lancaster Arts Partners have offered special events, most of them free, to encourage more people to experience the wide variety of arts activities available in the district, encouraging residents and visitors to see the area afresh.
Most events have taken place at The Dukes, More Music, Ludus, Green Close in Melling and Live at LICA at Lancaster University. However, organisers recognise many other individuals and organisations are producing arts events in the area and want to encourage them to take part in First Fridays.
Contacts are currently being made with pubs and bars who host live music and there are plans to get in touch with a large number of galleries, dance companies, theatre companies and other independent initiatives across the district.
