Mark Smith

Mark has studied at Oxford and York Universities, where he is currently teaching while working on a PhD in Theatre at the University's state-of-the-art department of Theatre, Film and Television.  He is particularly interested in new writing, devising and physical theatre, and the overlap between these fields.

He has also directed and performed in productions throughout England and abroad, starting up an English-language student theatre company while working in Finland, and more recently directing for the York Shakespeare Project and Script Yorkshire/York Settlement Players.
