Allison Vale trained as a teacher of History and English and taught in London Secondary schools throughout the 1990s before re-locating to the West Country.
In 2005, Allison co-authored her first book for Barnes & Noble, since which time she has become a full-time non-fiction writer, with thirteen published titles in the States and the UK. She also researches and writes historical documentaries for television.
Allison Vale has been a reviewer for the British Theatre Guide since 2006, covering theatre in Cardiff, Bath and Bristol. She takes particular interest in new writing, new companies and inclusive theatre initiatives.
