Every year, The Journal, the NE’s regional morning newspaper, recognises the cultural life of the region with its Culture Awards. The shortlisted theatre-related nominees are:

There will also be trophies for the Best Overall Event and for Special Contribution to North East Arts and Culture which will be announced at the Awards Ceremony at Sunderland Minster on 30 June.
