Tall Stories presents a “magical, musical production” based on Cressida Cowell and Neal Layton’s book Emily Brown and the Thing in the Patrick Studio at Birmingham Hippodrome from Monday until Friday 6 January while on the main stage Jimmy Osmond, Meera Syal, Matt Slack, Jaymi Hensley, the Timbuktu Tumblers and Sascha Williams sail in for Peter Pan from Wednesday until Sunday 27 January.

The Albany Theatre, Coventry takes a trip to Neverland with Lyon Devereux’s specially adapted version of J M Barrie’s Peter Pan, presented by Ceridwen Theatre Company, which continues until Saturday.

A promenade piece which takes audiences on an adventure around Gloucester’s Blackfriars Priory, Strike a Light’s The Snow Queen continues until Saturday.

Enchanted Entertainment continues to present Cinderella at Castle Theatre, Wellingborough, Northamptonshire until Saturday 29 December.

A collection of three all-time favourite fairy tales by the Brothers Grimm, Rumpelstiltskin, Little Red Riding Hood and Rapunzel, can be seen at the Blue Orange Theatre, Birmingham from Saturday until Sunday 30 December.

Seven years after it premièred at Lakeside Arts, Engine House brings back Mike Kenny’s adaptation of Red Riding Hood which continues at the Nottingham venue until Sunday 30 December.

Philip Dart who has written and directed Buxton Opera House’s panto for the past 27 years is at the helm of Dick Whittington which continues until Sunday 30 December.

Babbling Vagabonds “conjures a rawsome Christmas story of mammoth proportions” in The Dinosaur who Came for Christmas at the Guildhall Theatre, Derby which continues until Sunday 30 December.

New International Encounter continues to create a “rustic re-telling of the French classic fairy tale direct from a three-week run in New York”, Beauty and the Beast, at The Core at Corby Cube, Northamptonshire until Sunday 30 December.

Tall Stories continues to present Wilde Creatures, based on the fairy tales of Oscar Wilde, at Warwick Arts Centre, Coventry until Sunday 30 December.

Toby Hulse’s new adaptation of Pinocchio continues at the Old Rep Theatre, Birmingham until Sunday 30 December.

The world première of The Worst Witch, Emma Reeves’s story based on Jill Murphy’s series of novels, continues on the Royal stage at Royal and Derngate, Northampton until Sunday 30 December, Darren Day, Flawless, The Grumbleweeds and Rachael Wooding appear in Peter Pan which continues in Derngate also until 30 December and in the Underground Studio Polka Theatre and Little Angel Theatre continue to stage Peter Glanville and Julian Butler’s adaptation of Julia Donaldson and Rebecca Cobb’s The Everywhere Bear until Sunday 6 January.

Pins and Needles gets into the Christmas spirit with Rudolf which continues at mac Birmingham until Monday 31 December.

Santa’s Sparkly Surprise, Imagine Theatre’s fifth festive show specially created for pre-schoolers and written by Coventry panto legend Iain Lauchlan, continues at the Belgrade Theatre until Monday 24 December while Sleeping Beauty continues until Saturday 5 January and in the B2 auditorium Coventry playwright Nick Walker’s alternative show Over the Top, set during World War I, continues until Saturday 29 December.

Mike Kenny’s adaptation of the Brothers Grimm fairy tale Hansel and Gretel continues at Derby Theatre until Saturday 5 January while in the Studio Goldilocks and the Three Bears, a show for children aged from three upwards and their families, also continues to be served up until 5 January.

Duncan James takes the role of Jack in Jack and the Beanstalk which continues at Derby Arena until Saturday 5 January.

Lady detective Artemis Arinae finds herself in the middle of a “steamy seasonal crime caper set in high society” in New Old Friends’ Crimes of the Christmas Pudding in the Studio at Lichfield Garrick until Saturday 5 January while during the day young audience members should enjoy Elf and Reindeer’s Christmas Cracker until Monday 24 December and on the main stage Dick Whittington, written by Paul Hendy, continues until Saturday 5 January.

Sue Holderness, best known for her role as Marlene in the BBC1 sitcom Only Fools and Horses, plays the Wicked Queen in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at Mansfield Palace Theatre which continues until Sunday 6 January.

Dick Whittington the Rock ‘n’ Roll Panto continues at Stafford Gatehouse Theatre until Sunday 6 January.

The first production at Leicester’s newly reopened Haymarket Theatre, the world premiere of Treasure Island, penned by Sandi Toksvig, continues until Sunday 6 January.

Su Pollard plays the Wicked Queen in Malvern Theatres’ panto Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs which continues until Sunday 6 January.

Leicester’s X Factor winner Sam Bailey and former Coronation Street actor Kevin Kennedy appear in Peter Pan at De Montfort Hall, Leicester which continues until Sunday 6 January.

Leicester’s Curve aims to “banish the blues and nourish the soul” with its production of Irving Berlin’s White Christmas which continues until Sunday 13 January while Curve and Rose Theatre Kingston’s co-production of Dr Seuss’s The Cat in the Hat continues in Curve’s Studio until Saturday 12 January.

At the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford, Aden Gillett plays Ebenezer Scrooge in A Christmas Carol which continues until Sunday 20 January while in the Swan Theatre Molière’s classic Tartuffe is brought up to date in a new version by Anil Gupta and Richard Pinto which continues until Saturday 23 February and Kathryn Hunter takes the title role in Timon of Athens which continues until Friday 22 February.
