Tompsett and Kurup go round Kander & Ebb

Next month's production of The World Goes Round: The Songs Of Kander & Ebb at Chelsea's Pheasantry has been cast.

Musical theatre stars Oliver Tompsett and Debbie Kurup lead a cast of five in this show which features songs from of the writing duo's hit shows including Cabaret, Chicago, Flora the Red Menace, Kiss of the Spider Woman, The Rink, 70 Girls 70 and The Act.

Tompsett's stage credits include Wicked, Rock of Ages and We Will Rock You whilst Kurup's include Chicago, Anything Goes and The Bodyguard.

Also in the cast are Steffan Lloyd-Evans, Alexandra Da Silva and Sally Samad.

The World Goes Round is devised by Scott Ellis, Susan Stroman and David Thompson with songs by composer John Kander and lyricist Fred Ebb. The producer is Neil Eckersley and the musical director is Kris Rawlinson.

The World Goes Round: The Songs Of Kander & Ebb plays the Pheasantry from 5 to 8 July.
