A Parcel for Mr Smith
Dylan Mortimer as Mr Smith

Whitley Bay-based Cloud Nine Theatre is to revive its 2015 play A Parcel for Mr Smith in Prague and on Tyneside. The one-man show, written by the company’s Artistic Director Peter Mortimer and performed by his son Dylan, plays at the Prague Fringe from 29 May to 2 June at the Café Club Míšeňská.

It will then play at The Low Lights Tavern in North Shields on 5 June, The Surf Café in Tynemouth on 7 and The Black Horse, Monkseaton on 10, all at 7:30.

Our review of the original production said that “Mr Smith walks the fine line between the world of the absurd and of the "normal", albeit a rather extreme example of normality.” It’s a play which examines what it means to be 'normal'.
