As part of the Merce Cunningham Centennial, Night of 100 Solos: A Centennial Event comes to the Barbican Theatre on Tuesday 16 April 2019, which would have been Cunningham's 100th birthday.
100 dancers will be spread across four international venues on the same day: the Barbican in London, BAM in New York, UCLA’s Center for the Art of Performance in Los Angeles and Opéra Comique in Paris.
On each of these stages, the dancers will perform a collection of 100 solos choreographed by Cunningham, selected and staged by Cunningham alumni.
