On Monday 18 April, dance company Protein will perform a 30-minute version of its production Border Tales at BBC Broadcasting House which will be broadcast live on BBC World Service and BBC World News as part of Identity Live Day.

Simon Pitts, editor of Identity Live Day, said, “BBC World Service commissioned a version of Border Tales for part of a live day of programming around the theme of identity, exploring how the ever-growing movement of people and ideas is shaping our world today. With its physical dexterity and wit, Border Tales offers audiences a different way to think about the experiences of big city life”.

The performance can’t be viewed on TV in the UK but a limited number of tickets are available to see the performance being broadcast live at the BBC.

The broadcast comes in the same week that Protein opens its new show May Contain Food at The Place in London, with performances beginning on 21 April.
