Birmingham Royal Ballet is on the hunt for young boys and girls for its new production of The Nutcracker created especially for the Royal Albert Hall featuring state-of-the-art technology, projections and 75kg of artificial snow, running from 28 to 31 December 2017.

Open auditions will be held on Sunday 1 October at the Urdang Academy in London for sixteen children (eight boys and eight girls) in school years 5, 6 or 7 (from September 2017). Previous ballet experience is an advantage, but not necessary. Auditions will include a dance and acting workshop delivered by a senior member of Birmingham Royal Ballet.

Times will be confirmed nearer the audition day, once applications have been received. Bookings can be made online for a fee of £26.99, including a £1.99 booking fee.
