Emerge Festival 2017: applications invited

C-12 Dance Theatre is looking for fifteen dance / physical theatre works to be presented at the Emerge Festival 2017 in November.

It has issued an open application for choreographers / physical theatre makers for a work no longer than ten minutes and with no more than four performers.

Artists are provided with the opportunity to showcase a new work to other artists and the general public and to special guests including funders, venues and producers over five nights at The Space, London.

The festival provides artistic, marketing and technical support as well as the opportunity to chat about sustaining and developing work to tour on a one-to-one basis with C-12 Dance Theatre's Executive Producer Adam Towndrow.

This will be the 6th Emerge Festival since it began in 2012. It has supported 62 choreographers and many works that have premièred at the festival have gone on to be funded, fully realised and booked to perform at other events.

Previous choreographers / practitioners have included John Ross, Feet Off The Ground, Kendra J Horsburgh, Neus Gil Cortes, Lewis Major, Kenrick H2O Sandy, Annie-Lunnette Deakin-Foster, James Williams, Kloe Dean, Lee Griffiths and Luke Brown.

The festival runs from 31 October to 18 November 2017. The deadline for applications is 6PM on 1 August 2017.
