Dance City is offering free dance taster sessions in its new studios in Sunderland’s Fire Station arts complex.

The free classes will run from 10AM to 4PM on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 December and there will be a variety of classes on offer to suit people of all ages and abilities. Visitors can try as many sessions as they like.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone, whether they’ve danced before or not, to our beautiful new Sunderland studios,” said Dance City’s artistic director Anthony Baker. “Dance is a creative, fun, social and physical activity that is great for keeping fit and active, boosting self-confidence and improving coordination. We’ll be offering 30 classes for adults, children and families from January. These taster sessions are about having fun and trying out new things.”

Attendance at the taster sessions is free but ticketed and must be booked in advance by e-mailing [email protected] or by calling 0191 261 0505.

The full new programme of classes starts in The Fire Station on Monday 15 January and Dance City Sunderland is offering everyone their first class for free. Anyone interested in taking part get their free first class by entering the code DCSUNDERLAND on the Dance City web site booking page, or by contacting the booking office direct on the number above.
