The BALLET2000 prize is to be awarded to choreographer and doyen of European dance, Hans van Manen.
He will be feted 4 and 5 July at the Montpellier's Opéra Berlioz. Het Nationale Ballet (the Dutch National Ballet Company), for whom Van Manen has produced the bulk of his creations, will present two programmes of his work.
On the first night, he will be presented with the insignia of Commandeur des Arts et des Lettres de la République Française.
