The League of Gentlemen Live Again!
Peter Pan

The Sunderland Empire, that is. Two new shows have been announced.

First, as Jack and the Beanstalk has just begun, next year’s panto has been announced. Produced again by Martin Dodd for UK Productions, it will be Peter Pan and will run from 14 December 2018 to 6 January 2019.

Before then, however, is The League of Gentlemen Live Again!, the first UK tour for more than twelve years, which will begin at the Sunderland Empire on 25 August 2018, for one night only, before visiting 16 other venues, ending on 29 September.

Reece Shearsmith, Steve Pemberton, Mark Gatiss and Jeremy Dyson are bringing their dark and unhinged fictional village of Royston Vasey to theatres and arenas across the country.

The League of Gentlemen started as a live show over 20 years ago,” they said, “and in many ways performing in front of an audience gives us the biggest thrill of all. We’re overjoyed to be taking the citizens of Royston Vasey on a road-trip and can’t wait to see all the wonderful local places in our increasingly local country. Plus we’d already gone to the trouble of getting the costumes and learning the voices again for the TV show so we thought why not? Something to do isn’t it?”

Tickets for The League of Gentlemen go on sale on Wednesday 20 December 2017 and for Peter Pan Thursday 21 December.
