One Dance UK has announced the programme for its first-ever Conference Season, coming to Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance this November.

The programme of three conferences over two days will combine workshops, practical classes, keynotes and seminars for attendees from across the dance sector, including opportunities to exchange ideas with industry leaders.

On Saturday 25 November, the Dance Teaching and Participation Conference will emphasise the value of dance in education, with guest speakers including Tamara Rojo CBE, culminating in a performance from youth dance companies and BBC Young Dance finalist Jaina Modasia.

The Choreographers’ Conference on Sunday 26 November offers opportunities to speak with programmers and other industry leaders on issues such as accessibility, diversification and sustainability. Choreographers taking part include Charlotte Vincent, Omari Carter and Rosie Kay.

The Healthier Dancer Programme Conference, also on 26 November, will feature discussions on dancers’ mental health and the psychological and social aspects of dance injury, with speakers including artist Stuart Waters, performance psychologist Irina Roncaglia and rehearsal director, producer and teacher Claire Cunningham.
