Polunin Sunday matinée at Coliseum

Sergei Polunin in Take Me To Church Credit: David LaChapelle

Sergei Polunin has announced that he will host a mixed programme at the London Coliseum for a matinée performance on Sunday 10 December 2017.

As part of Project Polunin’s initiative to make dance accessible to people of all ages and incomes, 100 seats will be offered to disadvantaged children and a significant number of seats to ballet students.

The programme will include his Take Me To Church solo, choreographed by Jade Hale Christofi and based on David LaChapelle’s video from 2015.

Other ballets on the day include Christian Spuck’s Le Grand Pas de Deux danced by Jason Reilly & Elisa Badenes from Stuttgart Ballet, What Love Tells Me by John Neumeier danced by Alexandre Riabko & Silvia Azzoni from Hamburg Ballet, Memoria danced and choreographed by Miguel Altunaga from Rambert, Frederick Ashton’s Rhapsody Pas de Deux danced by Valentino Zucchetti & Akane Takada from The Royal Ballet, Diana and Actaeon by Agrippina Vaganova, danced by Sergei Polunin and Satori by Sergei Polunin danced by Sergei Polunin, Natalia Osipova from The Royal Ballet, Jason Reilly from Stuttgart Ballet, Alexey Lyubimov from The Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Academic Music Theatre and The Royal Ballet School Junior Associate Tom Waddington.

Satori will be accompanied by the Orchestra of English National Opera, conducted by Gavin Sutherland.
