Dracula: The Bloody Truth
Eulogy of Toby Peach - part of the spring season at Plymouth's Barbican Theatre

Plymouth's Barbican Theatre opened its spring season last week.

Theatre performances in the line-up, which also includes music and dance events, are:

  • Eulogy of Toby Peach – multi-award-winning Toby Peach's one-man show recounts his story of having cancer from diagnosis to remission, relapse and treatment. With a look at chemotherapy cocktails and the perfect funeral playlist, this show is a celebration of life.

  • Dracula: The Bloody Truth – this new comedy show is presented by Le Navet Bete for the Easter school holidays. Le Navet Bete's retelling of Bram Stoker’s classic novel is the first theatre performance at The Plymouth Athenaeum which reopens for theatre events this spring in partnership with Barbican Theatre. Age guidance: 8+.

  • Mixed Grill – this show is presented by Beyond Face, a company participating in the Theatre's Flourish programme which sees artists and companies supported over a two-year period to develop work for regional touring. In Mixed Grill, food is a metaphor for strength in diversity, as mixed-race Alix and Lewis look at what it means to have a mixed heritage and how your geographical location can impact your identity.
