On Monday 25 September at 5PM, hosted by Sarah Crompton and streamed via Facebook Live, Tamara Rojo, Artistic Director of English National Ballet, and Deborah MacMillan will discuss Kenneth MacMillan’s Song of the Earth at St Martins Lane.

ENB’s autumn tour takes Song of the Earth to Manchester (11 to 14 October) and Milton Keynes (17 to 21 October) as part of a double bill alongside La Sylphide and to the London Coliseum (9 to 20 January) where Roland Petite’s Le Jeune Homme et la Mort will also be revived.

Rojo said, “Song of the Earth is a great example of MacMillan’s choreographic style. Influenced by the original Chinese poems that Mahler used to create the score, we can see how MacMillan used these delicate movements to form part of the dramatic choreography.

"This incredibly moving work is a wonderful vehicle for the extremely talented dancers in the company and I can’t wait for our audiences to see them perform it next season."
