Ten the of UK’s leading professional ballet schools have released a joint message of support and reassurance to prospective students considering applications for places on programmes starting in September 2021.

Following further restrictions announced at the start of the New Year, the schools’ preliminary auditions in 2021 will take place online. Final audition rounds, which usually take place in March, will be held, where possible, in person in a studio setting, but ongoing restrictions may require them to be rescheduled to a later date or also take place online.

The statement was issued jointly by Central School of Ballet, English National Ballet School, Elmhurst Ballet School, The Hammond School, KS Dance, Northern Ballet School, Rambert School, The Royal Ballet School, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and Tring Park School for the Performing Arts. Refer to the individual schools’ web sites for their specific and detailed audition information.
