The touring production of Fiddler on the Roof, starring Paul Michael Glaser as Tevye, comes to Newcastle’s Theatre Royal from Tuesday to Saturday.

Wet House continues at Live Theatre until 5th October.

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Radio Show... Live! is at Sunderland Empire on Wednesday and Thursday, followed on Friday by An Evening of Burlesque.

On Thursday Retail (a show about selling) is at Arts Centre Washington.

From Wednesday to Friday the Customs House in South Shields presents By the Pricking of My Thumbs (Shakespeare’s Nastiest Bits), devised and directed by BTG North East editor Peter Lathan, in Daltons while from Wednesday to Saturday Dryburn Theatrical Workshop presents an amateur production of Acorn Antiques in the Main House.

On Thursday at 1.15 and 6pm Théâtre Sans Frontières brings Le Moulin Magique to the Queen’s Hall in Hexham, followed on Saturday by Phizzical’s production of Cymbeline.

Sparkle by PuppetShip comes to Durham’s Gala Theatre on Sunday 29th at 11.30am, 1.30pm and 3.30pm.

Third Angel presents Cape Wrath at ARC Stockton on Wednesday and Thursday.

From Wednesday to Friday less is MORE presents The Shagaround at Middlesbrough Theatre.

John Godber’s September in the Rain tours to Darlington Civic from Tuesday to Saturday.

The John Godber Company presents Teechers in the Harrogate Theatre main house from Tuesday to Saturday while in the Studio from Wednesday at Saturday Elemental Theatre Company performs The Rain King.
