Regular scratch night First in Three, featuring five plays in the process of development, is at Northern Stage on Thursday.

At Live Theatre this week The Soaking of Vera Shrimp runs from Wednesday to Saturday in the Studio and Good Timin' is in the Main House from Wednesday until 25 October.

R.I.O.T. by Joseph Mercier and PanicLab premieres at Dance City on Saturday.

On Thursday and Friday (various times) Théâtre Sans Frontières presents David Almond's Heaven Eyes.

One Man Star Wars Trilogy comes to the Playhouse Whitley Bay on Monday.

The Woman in Black is at Billingham Forum from Wednesday to Saturday.

Displace Yourself Theatre presents Eden at ARC Stockton on Wednesday.

John Godber's April in Paris visits Darlington Civic from Tuesday to Saturday.

Harrogate's Comedy Festival continues in various venues throught the town throughout the week.
