Northern Stage has moved to its Edinburgh venue at Summerhall for the duration of the Fringe.

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time runs at Sunderland Empire from Tuesday to Saturday.

Theatre Space NE presents a promenade performance of Twelfth Night in Barnes Park, Sunderland at 6:30PM from Thursday to Sunday.

From Tuesday to Thursday at 2PM, children’s show Silly Simon the Sailor and the Lost Treasure is at the Customs House in South Shields.

On Friday at Billingham Forum, the Billingham International Folklore Festival’s World Gala Night will feature over 300 dancers and musicians from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, China, Mexico, Philippines, Serbia and the USA.

The Gala Night will also be at Middlesbrough Theatre on Thursday.

At 4PM on Sunday, Chapterhouse Theatre will present Pride and Prejudice in Stewart Park, Middlesbrough. Tickets available from Middlesbrough Theatre.

Darlington Civic is dark until 7 September.

The Harrogate Gilbert and Sullivan Festival continues until 27 August with performances from G&S societies from throughout the UK and abroad every day in the Harrogate Theatre and the Royal Hall.

On Saturday at 6:30, Pantaloons Theatre Company presents Treasure Island in Harrogate’s RHS Harlow Carr Gardens (tickets from Harrogate Theatre).
