The Chichester Festival production of Goodnight Mister Tom comes to Newcastle’s Theatre Royal from Tuesday to Saturday.

Noises Off continues at Northern Stage until 28 May.

At Live Theatre on Saturday, Poleroid Theatre presents an “open write night”, new writing from emerging playwrights, comedians & performance poets.

Louise Taylor’s The Frights and two plays written in response to it—The Ties that Bind by Amy Mitchell and Fresh Start by Arabella Arnott—are at Alphabetti from Monday to Saturday.

At the Discovery Museum in Newcastle on Saturday (at 10:30AM, 12:00PM, 1:30PM and 3:00PM), The Imagination Museum will bring some of the museum artefacts to life for children of all ages through words and music.

Menopause: The Musical comes to Sunderland Empire on Monday for one night only.

Sunfest continues at Arts Centre Washington from Thursday to Saturday with Wycherley’s The Country Wife.

On Thursday, Cranked Anvil presents Romeo and Juliet at the Customs House in South Shields and then on Sunday, Ballet Theatre UK performs Pinocchio.

Woody Sez—The Life & Music of Woody Guthrie comes to Alnwick Playhouse on Saturday.

Fertile Ground’s triple bill, Dancing the Road, comes to the Henry Travers Studio at The Maltings in Berwick on Friday at 7:00PM.

On Tuesday, Reform Theatre presents John Godber’s The Debt Collectors at the Queen’s Hall in Hexham.

Dirty Dusting is at the Playhouse Whitley Bay on Thursday.

English Touring Opera comes to Durham’s Gala Theatre on Monday with Don Giovanni and on Tuesday with Iphigénie en Tauride.

Comedy The Naked Truth is at Billingham Forum from Monday to Wednesday.

ARC Stockton, Cultural Shift and Little Cog present Dust of the Street's Shining at 7PM on Wednesday at ARC, a “pay what you decide” production.

Rove, a “show for anyone who has ever tried to untangle a family anecdote, or wished they knew more about where they came from,” runs in Harrogate’s Studio Theatre on Friday and Saturday.
