From Tuesday to Saturday, Northern Ballet presents Beauty and the Beast at the Theatre Royal, Newcastle.

Shelagh Stephenson’s latest play Harriet Martineau Dreams of Dancing opens on Thursday and runs until 3 December at Live Theatre.

At Alphabetti from Tuesday to Saturday, Matt Miller presents Sticking, a poetic and rebellious story of love, fear and sex.

On Friday evening and Saturday afternoon, Motionhouse performs Scattered at Dance City.

From Monday to Saturday The Rocky Horror Show returns to Sunderland Empire.

On Thursday Unlimited Theatre brings Am I Dead Yet? to Arts Centre Washington.

The Shakespeare Schools Festival is at the Playhouse Whitley Bay on Wednesday.

Durham’s Shakespeare Schools Festival is at the Gale Theatre on Monday and Tuesday. Then, on Thursday and Friday, the Gary Clarke Company presents dance theatre piece Coal.

All or Nothing, the Mod musical, runs at Billingham Forum on Thursday and Friday. It is followed on Sunday by the The Russian State Ballet and Opera House with Swan Lake.

Black Toffee Theatre brings new play Parallel to ARC Stockton on Wednesday (a pay what you decide performance).

Townsend Productions bring their production Dare Devil Rides to Jarama, which commemorates the sacrifice of the volunteer International Brigades, to The Witham in Barnard Castle. This is a Supper Club event and includes a plate of curry and a drink.

On Sunday 13 November, Spillikin (a love story), a play with four actors, music and a real robot, comes to the Georgian Theatre Royal in Richmond.
