Stomp returns to Newcastle Theatre Royal from Thursday to Saturday.

The new stage version of NE classic TV series When the Boat Comes In, written by Peter Mitchell, son of the original’s writer James Mitchell, premières at the Customs House in South Shields from Thursday until 25 August.

Tideline Runners presents Sam and Isla Forever!, set in 1916 and 1974, at The Maltings in Berwick from Thursday to Saturday.

The Billingham International Festival of Folk Dance presents its annual World Dance Gala Night, featuring dance companies from across the world, including Argentina, Chile, Egypt, France, Japan, Mexico, and Ukraine at Billingham Forum on Friday.

The annual Gilbert and Sullivan Festival of productions by amateur and university groups continues at Harrogate Theatre.
