Simon Callow and friends presented the Offies to their winners

The Offies, presented by OffWestEnd.com, are unique in their celebration of independent theatres across London.

Over three hundred shows in 86 venues were considered for the awards which recognise achievement in many disciplines, with winners selected by a panel of critics and by public vote.

Awards for Best New Musical and Best Musical Production went respectively to A Winter's Tale at the Landor and Floyd Collins at Southwark Playhouse, which venue also picked up Best Choreographer for Lee Proud on Mack and Mabel, Best Lighting for Richard Howell on The Hairy Ape, Most Promising New Playwright for Nicholas Pierpan for You Can Still Make a Killing and the Special Panel Award.

The award for Best Production went to Uncle Vanya at The Print Room and Best Opera Production to Cosi fan Tutte by Hampstead Garden Opera at Upstairs at The Gatehouse.

Best Director went to Sean Holmes for Desire Under The Elms and Midsummer Night’s Dream at Lyric Hammersmith, and Best Artistic Director to George Perrin and James Grieve at Paines Plough.

The Panel's choice for Best Female Performance was Eileen Atkins in All That Fall at Jermyn Street and for Best Male Performance was Thomas Coombes in Barbarians at Tooting Arts Club, whilst the public vote for Favourite Performance went to Katy Baker for Flora The Red Menace at Ye Olde Rose and Crown and Brice Stratford for Ondine at The White Bear Theatre.

The public also voted (by region) for Best Theatre Bar in which category Ye Olde Rose and Crown had another win, Almeida Theatre won in Best Theatre Foodie Experience and Most Welcoming Theatre, the category in which Brockley Jack (currently playing Silence) swapped its previous Foodie award for a Most Welcoming Award.
