The Jungle Book comes to Newcastle Theatre Royal from Tuesday until Saturday.

Sting’s musical The Last Ship continues at Northern Stage in Newcastle until 7 April.

On Thursday at Alphabetti, Open Heart Theatre presents the March edition of Let Us Make It Up To You, and evening of improvised comedy. Then on Saturday, it’s the monthly Alphabetti Soup, which includes music by Aeyther and a new play, Compatible by Laura Riseborough, directed by Caroline Liversidge.

Enchanted Entertainment presents Beauty and the Beast, an Easter Panto, at the Tyne Theatre and Opera House on Saturday and Sunday (various times).

Jersey Boys continues at Sunderland Empire until Saturday.

At the Customs House in South Shields on Wednesday, Kelly-Abbott Dance Theatre presents
Launch Day, dance inspired by the paintings of North East based artist Alexander Millar.

On Thursday, Curious Monkey in association with Northern Stage brings Paddy Campbell’s Leaving to Alnwick Playhouse.

On Friday, Townsend Productions brings We Are the Lions Mr. Manager, a play by Neil Gore about the 1976-78 Grunwick Film Processing Factory Strike, to The Maltings at Berwick.

Easter Bunny’s Eggs Factor, a family show particularly suitable for 2- to 7-year-olds, is at the Queen’s Hall in Hexham on Tuesday at 4:00.

On Tuesday at 10:30 and 1:30, Kitchen Zoo brings The Owl and the Pussycat, for ages 3 to 7, to Durham’s Gala Theatre.

Skip Rap, an “angry love song to grit, endurance and creativity”, is a performance about what it’s like to be treated like trash and how you find your way out of the junk. It is presented by artist, performer; stand-up comedian and rapper who has a learning disability, Alan Clay, at ARC Stockton on Wednesday at 7:00.

Horace and the Yeti, an eco-adventure for children aged 4 and up, comes to the Georgian Theatre Royal in Richmond on Saturday at 2:00.
