Simon Bailey and Laura Pitt-Pulford - Marry Me A Little

This month sees a second Sondheim show in London when Marry Me A Littleopens at St James Studio, Pacific Overtures having opened last week.

Running for sixteen performances only, Marry Me A Little shares the dreams for love of a single man and a single woman, unbeknownst to each other living in the same apartment block.

Comprised of early songs penned by Stephen Sondheim or numbers that never saw their way into the shows for which they were written, Marry Me A Little was co-created by Craig Lucas and Norman René and premièred Off-Off Broadway in 1980.

Simon Bailey will star as Man and Laura Pitt-Pulford will star as Woman.

Simon Bailey was most recently seen as Liam in I Can’t Sing! and on tour as Raoul in Cameron Mackintosh’s new production of The Phantom of the Opera. Bailey's other West End credits include Lieutenant Torrasso/Count Ludovic in Passion, Raoul in The Phantom of the Opera and Enjolras in Les Misérables.

Laura Pitt-Pulford was most recently seen as The Falconer in The Light Princess. Other London credits include Mack & Mabel and Parade at the Southwark Playhouse whilst regional credits include A Man Of No Importance at Salisbury Playhouse, and Piaf and Hello Dolly at Leicester Curve Theatre.

Marry Me A Little is directed by Hannah Chissick with musical direction by David Randall. It plays St James Studio from 29 July to 10 August.
