Stafford Festival Shakespeare’s Macbeth at Stafford Castle

The company behind The Play that Goes Wrong and The Comedy about a Bank Robbery takes its latest show Mischief Movie Night to the Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham from Tuesday until Saturday.

Regan de Wynter Williams Productions tours Sasha Regan’s all-male version of Gilbert and Sullivan’s Iolanthe to Malvern Theatres from Tuesday until Saturday.

The Birmingham Stage Company adaptation of David Walliams’s Gangsta Granny causes havoc in the Theatre Royal, Nottingham from Wednesday until Sunday.

Elmhurst Ballet School, the associate school of Birmingham Royal Ballet, continues to showcase new commissions and premières by choreographers, the school’s artistic staff and students in Summer Creations—An Evening of New Work in the school’s studio theatre at Edgbaston, Birmingham until Friday.

Stafford Festival Shakespeare’s 2018 production Macbeth continues in the open air at Stafford Castle until Saturday.

Oddsocks takes “one small step for man, one giant leap for Shakespeare” at mac Birmingham with The Tempest on Saturday and Romeo and Juliet on Sunday.

Northampton Royal and Derngate’s youth theatre and young company continues to delve into the jazz age to explore the dark and dangerous 1920s American prohibition era in Alan Parker’s Bugsy Malone on the Royal stage until Sunday.

Newcastle-under-Lyme’s New Vic Theatre celebrates the life of Philip Astley, the founder of the first modern circus who was born in the Staffordshire town, in its “most ambitious show to date”, Astley’s Astounding Adventures, which continues until Saturday 28 July (press night Tuesday 10 July).

The Royal Shakespeare Company production inspired by Roald Dahl’s book, Matilda the Musical continues at Birmingham Hippodrome until Saturday 8 September while the Hippodrome’s two-day family festival Summer in Southside takes over streets around the theatre and the Hippodrome’s foyers on Saturday and Sunday.
