New season at Sunderland Empire

Sunderland Empire has announced its season through to April 2015, a season which begins next week with Avenue Q which runs from 14 to 16 July. Following are:

  • Rock of Ages the Musical from 28 July to 2 August
  • Disney's The Lion King runs for seven weeks from 18 September to 1 November
  • Birmingham Royal Ballet returns with Beauty and the Beast from 6 to 8 November
  • Ellen Kent Opera presents Madama Butterfly on 9 November
  • The twentieth anniversary tour of Riverdance comes to Sunderland from 10 to 15 November
  • On 16 November Su Pollard and Cannon and Ball star in the farce Ha Ha Hood
  • Kerry Ellis, Joanna Ampil and Ria Jones star in West End Women on 17 November
  • Comedy Stones in His Pockets plays on 18 November
  • Jersey Boys calls in at the Empire from 25 November to 6 December
  • This year's panto Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (12 December to 4 January) stars Su Pollard, Andrew Agnew and Matt Lapinskas
  • From 19 to 24 January the National Theatre production of One Man, Two Guvnors comes to the Empire
  • Dirty Dancing returns from 27 January to 14 February
  • Vincent Simone and Flavia Cacace star in Dance ‘Til Dawn from 17 to 21 February
  • The Full Monty runs from 23rd to 28th February
  • Wicked comes to the Empire from 31 March to 25 April
