The biggest winner of this year's Whatsonstage Awards is 42nd Street with four of eight nominations: Best Musical Revival, Best Choreography, Best Set Design and Best Costume Design.

With three each is Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, Best New Musical, Best Actor In A Musical and Best Supporting Actress In A Musical and The Ferryman, Best Play, Best Supporting Actor in a Play and Best Direction.

Olivia Colman and David Tennant Win Best Actress and Best Actor In A Play. The award for Best Actress in a Musical went to Carrie Hope Fletcher.

The Equity Award For Services To Theatre has been awarded to Sonia Friedman.

The delayed opening of Hamilton made the show ineligible for this year’s principal awards. It won neither of the two awards for which it was nominated: Best Original Cast Recording and Best Show Poster.
